The best pickleball score app depends on where you want the score: on your wrist while you play, on a phone by the net, or on Android. Most of them keep side-out scoring for doubles; they differ in how you record a rally, whether they call the score out loud, and what they keep afterwards.

We make Rally Trace. Every other description below comes from the app’s own store listing, read on 3 November 2026. Listings change, so check one before you buy. For watch apps that track your swing or analyze video rather than keep score, see the best Apple Watch pickleball apps.

What to look for in a score app

Where you’ll score matters most. A watch app keeps the score on your wrist, so nobody walks to the net post between rallies; a phone app needs a phone you can reach, or someone off court to run it. After that, check how you record a rally (a tap, a swipe, a button, your voice), whether it calls the score out loud so all four players hear it, and whether it does rally scoring if your group plays it. If you want to see how you’re doing over time, check what it keeps once the game is over.

Score apps on Apple Watch

Rally Trace

Ours, on the App Store. You tap the side that won each rally, and Rally Trace keeps the score, the server and where everyone stands, in doubles or singles, side-out scoring to 11, and calls the score out loud. It doesn’t keep rally-scoring games. Every game lands on your iPhone with its heart rate, and your record with every partner and opponent is free. Rally Trace Pro adds how you do on your serve and on theirs, and your win rate month by month.

Pickleball Score Keeper

Swipe scoring on the watch, with the score spoken aloud, the server and positions shown, and tags for unforced errors and service stats. A one-time purchase (listing).

Side Out

Swipe scoring that works on the watch without your iPhone during play, with player profiles, your record against opponents, and an iPhone or iPad scoreboard that can announce the score. Its listing says it logs sessions to Apple Health as workouts. Free (listing).

Tally

Scoring for pickleball and other racket sports, with server rotation, timeouts, a match recap and AI match insights. Its release notes say the free tier reads the score aloud and keeps your last five matches. Free scoring, with a paid tier (listing).

Pickleball Score Keeper App

A different app from Pickleball Score Keeper above. One-tap scoring on the watch, which works without your iPhone, in side-out, rally or rally with freeze, singles or doubles, with matches saved to Apple Health as workouts. Free, with a Pro tier (listing).

Pickleball Scorecard App

Scores on the watch with the double-tap gesture, with an optional announcer that calls the score, history on both devices and workouts in Apple Health. Free with ads, or by subscription or a one-time purchase (listing).

Score Keeper for Pickleball

Watch and iPhone kept in sync, side-out or rally scoring, a “Voice Umpire” that calls the score in several languages, and stats including serve and return success. Two matches free, then a pass or a one-time purchase (listing).

Pickleball Score Tracker

Watch only: you twist the Digital Crown to say who won the rally, and it calls the score. Free, with no in-app purchases (listing).

PCKLSCORE

Scoring by Siri voice command, on the watch or phone, with player profiles and history. Free on iPhone; the watch app needs a subscription or a lifetime purchase (listing).

PickleScore and PickleballTrkr

PickleScore is tap scoring with large buttons and an always-on display (listing). PickleballTrkr records who won each rally, with aces and service faults, in side-out or rally scoring (listing). Both are one-time purchases.

Score apps on iPhone

Pickleball Pro: Score Keeper

A phone scoreboard with tap scoring, undo and manual edits, side-out or rally scoring, history, streaks and share cards. No watch app. On iPhone, its paid upgrade calls the score out loud. Free, with a Pro tier (App Store, Google Play).

Most of the watch apps above also run on iPhone as a scoreboard; Side Out, Pickleball Scorecard App and Score Keeper for Pickleball say so in their listings.

Score apps on Android

Side Out – Pickleball Scoring

Not the same app as Side Out on Apple Watch: a different developer. On a Wear OS watch, press and hold the side that won the rally, or use the watch’s button; the phone app keeps the same score in sync, with sessions, head-to-head records and recap cards (listing).

Pickleball Scores

Left and right buttons for the rally winner, side-out scoring, and a report of every rally. A Pro subscription adds voice, in many languages (listing).

Pickleball Pro: Score Keeper, above, is on Android too.

Which one to pick

  • You want the score kept with no phone on court: a watch app. Pick by how you like to score and how you like to pay.
  • You play on Android: Side Out for Wear OS or a phone scoreboard.
  • You want to know who you win with and whether you’re getting better: that’s what we built Rally Trace for.

The score on the watch, with the server marked. Tap the side that won each rally and it moves on.
